The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Dee. The aqueduct, built of stone and cast iron, is 307 meters long and towers over the river below.
I have crossed the aqueduct on my narrowboat twice – once heading towards Llangollen (in a red boat) and then again on the return journey (in a blue boat!). Both journey’s are available to watch on my YouTube Channel – The Narrowboat Experience.
I commemorated my journey by capturing a section of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in all its beauty on a sunny spring day.
Due to popular demand, I have produced a second run of 20 high quality giclee prints of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. This will be the last run of this image.
These are on high quality paper, in a white mount with a sturdy packing board. For protection, they are in a clear cellophane wrapping.
All paintings are my own designs and therefore completely original.
