When travelling along the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal in 2019, we happened upon the iconic Falling Sands railway bridge. This bridge is part of the route of the Severn Valley Railway journey between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth.
On our journey south, we happened to be passing under the bridge at the same time as the Steam Train was passing overhead and were lucky enough to capture this experience on video and in still form. This image inspired me to paint an original watercolour showing my narrowboat Lazy Days passing under the Falling Sands railway bridge with the steam train overhead.
I love the image and have decided to do a limited edition print run.
