What is a Giclée print?

Giclée (pronounced g-clay) describes a fine art printing process where ink is squirted on to archival quality paper to create a high quality copy of an original artwork.

To produce the prints, Kath will take a high resolution scan of an original artwork and a specialised printer will then provide us with the giclee prints. When we receive the prints, we package them in cellophane with a white mount and rigid backing board. I hand number each batch of prints.

The giclee prints are archival quality – this means that they will hold their colour for many years.

Postage

I aim to post an art order within 1-3 working days from the date of that you place your order. However, as we are constantly moving around the UK, on occasion there may be a delay in posting if we are unable to find a post box. If this is going to impact your order, we will email you to let you know. All items sent from the boat are sent via Royal Mail.

Our merchandise is only printed when your order is placed so it will take a little longer to be dispatched. Please allow up to 6 working days for the printing process.

You will receive an email when your order has been posted.

Based on information from Royal Mail, we expect deliveries within the UK to arrive within 3 working days from the date of postage. Items sent internationally will take a little longer – between 7-10 working days.

Packaging

I expect all my prints and paintings to arrive in perfect condition. That is why I wrap them in cellophane and back them with cardboard and a rigid mounting. For additional protection, I use hard backed envelopes clearly labeled as “Please do not bend”.

I package other items, such as the enamel pins, in padded envelopes.

For larger paintings, I wrap in bubble wrap and package into a box labelled with fragile tape.

Clothing items are packaged in plastic mailing bags and mugs are delivered individually in a rigid cardboard box.

Additional Information

I sign all of my original artwork. My prints are hand numbered on the mount and the image signed.

You might see some merchandise on this site that has not been created by Annamarie or designed by Kath. This is because we love collaborating with Narrowboat YouTubers (“Boat-tubers”) and offering them a platform to showcase their creativity.
